Hainan Saiaofei International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Selfie Travel China) is a Sino-Kazakh joint venture tourism service company, primarily focusing on inbound tourism routes from Kazakhstan to Sanya. Leveraging its foreign partner, Kazakhstan's SCAT Airlines, and its global routes, Saiaofei International Travel is expanding its inbound routes from Central Asia and Europe based on the Kazakhstan routes. Simultaneously, starting with inbound tourism, it plans to develop related inbound routes into integrated multidimensional routes for both inbound and outbound travel. It aims to fully utilize the advantageous resources and policies of Hainan Free Trade Port to stimulate the platform role of tourism service enterprises.
Sanya has always been an important outbound destination for SCAT Airlines. SCAT Airlines has been operating Chinese routes for over twenty years. This establishment of a joint venture travel agency in Sanya with the Chinese partner is a significant step for SCAT Airlines and its affiliated company, Selfie Travel, to enhance their business development framework in China.
Selfie Travel China boasts a professional management team with many years of experience in the tourism industry and focuses on developing an outward-oriented operational capability. Foreign employees make up over 20% of the staff, and more than 80% of the company’s personnel are multilingual professionals proficient in Russian, English, Japanese, Kazakh, Uzbek, and Turkish. The company will continue to delve deeply and innovate in the construction of core competencies such as exploring Sanya's tourism resources, building product brands, expanding route projects, and connecting with multi-perspective distributors.
Currently, Selfie Travel China, in cooperation with SCAT Airlines, operates two regular international routes: Astana-Sanya and Almaty-Sanya. The resumption of the Astana-Sanya route on October 17, 2023, garnered attention and coverage from major official media, including CCTV.
At present, Selfie Travel China, in conjunction with SCAT Airlines, plans to leverage the open aviation rights policy of Hainan Free Trade Port. They aim to develop more inbound routes to Sanya that have market demand, centered around countries co-building the Belt and Road Initiative, to help further establish Sanya as an international tourism destination and a high-tech innovation hub of the free trade port.
